About Whiskerdoku
Whiskerdoku is a cozy logic puzzle built on the rules of Meowdoku, a cat puzzle app by Oakever Games, which is itself a take on the classic Star Battle and Queens puzzles. Each board is a grid split into coloured regions: you place exactly one cat in every row, every column and every region, and cats may never touch, not even diagonally. Boards start at 4×4 and grow to 9×9, so the early levels take a minute while the big ones need real deduction.
Whiskerdoku in the browser
Whiskerdoku is an independent, unofficial browser version submitted by its maintainer; it is not affiliated with Meowdoku or Oakever Games. Journey has 300 fixed puzzles in chapters (the first 20 recreate documented Meowdoku openings, the other 280 are original), alongside a daily challenge and free practice. Each attempt gets three hints that explain their reasoning plus one assist that places a cat. There are no ads, no payments and no account: progress and records are saved in your browser on that device, and it works well on phones.
How to play Whiskerdoku online
- Use a desktop browser (Chrome or Edge works best).
- Click “Play now”. The game opens in a new tab on the original project's site.
- Wait for the first load; big games can download hundreds of MB.
- Click inside the game to capture the mouse. Press Esc to release it.

Tips for Whiskerdoku
- Start with the smallest region: its cat has the fewest places to go.
- Mark every square around a placed cat with X; cats can never touch.
- If a region sits entirely in one row or column, cross out the rest of that row or column.
- Stuck? A hint fills in proven empty squares and explains why, so you learn the trick.
